History of Killington's Summit Lodge Resort

stack2

The Summit Lodge Resort was one of the first lodges built in Killington.  Tom Zabski, his wife Josephine and their three kids built the lodge back in the late 50's and opened for business in 1960.  Tom not only built the lodge but also most of the furniture, some of which is still in use today.

The Summit Lodge Resort fast became a luxury resort with a restaurant, bar and lounges not to mention the grounds which get better every year. The Summit Lodge has stood the test of time and to this day we are still regarded as one of the best resorts in Killington, Vermont for weddings, events or just a great time with family and friends.

Stepping foot through the doorway of the Summit Lodge is like stepping back in time. The Summit Lodge staff feel strongly that the lodge maintains the lifestyle of the classic New England lodge. The décor of hand-hewn beams, fieldstone fireplaces and prominently displayed antiques create a warm and welcoming ambiance. After a long day on the slopes, skiing or biking depending on the time of year, relax by the fire or by the pool.  We have something for all seasons at Summit Lodge.

Our restaurant and pub, O’Dwyer Public House serves a complete dinner menu, including fresh salads and tantalizing appetizers. A full-country breakfast served out on the terrace is also included with your stay.

With the slopes only minutes away, take advantage of our FREE shuttle from the Summit front door to Snowshed Base Lodge and enjoy a day of skiing or riding.

Staying at the Summit Lodge Resort continues to be a family tradition. We are proud to welcome back our past guests and continue the ritual of greeting third generation guests each year.
